Itinerary

Day 1 – Solta Island: Olive Groves and Beekeepers

Your adventure begins on the tranquil island of Šolta, with a coastal ride from the port village of Maslinica through fig trees, lavender fields, and olive groves. Along the way, we’ll stop for a sweet visit with our favorite local beekeeper before continuing to the charming fishing village of Stomorska for the night.

This morning, sail to sun-drenched Hvar, one of the Adriatic’s most beautiful islands. Choose between a short or longer ride through stone-walled lanes, lavender fields, and olive orchards from Stari Grad to the lively town of Hvar, a magnet for artists and free spirits. Enjoy an evening exploring its waterfront cafés and hilltop fortress.

Day 3 – Vis Island: Secluded Shores and Ancient Settlements

Cruise to remote Vis, the Adriatic’s most isolated island, once closed to foreigners due to its military significance. Today, ride quiet country roads through vineyards, olive groves, and coastal hamlets. Discover the gentle beauty of this ancient Greek colony and visit a family-run vineyard for a tasting of local varietals.

Begin your ride in the sleepy town of Prigradica, heading inland to the terraced town of Blato before ascending past panoramic Pupnat Bay. Descend into the walled town of Korčula, birthplace of Marco Polo, surrounded by cypress groves and red-tiled roofs. Many consider Korčula the most beautiful of all the Dalmatian islands.

FAQ

What is the food like in Croatia?
Expect a delicious blend of Mediterranean and Central European flavors. You'll enjoy fresh seafood, local olive oils, handmade pastas, grilled meats, and Dalmatian specialties like octopus salad and black risotto. Meals are relaxed and often taken al fresco, with excellent regional wines.

When is the best time to travel?
Spring (May–June) and early fall (September–October) are ideal. These months offer warm, sunny weather and quieter roads—perfect for cycling and swimming without the midsummer crowds.

What type of bike do you recommend?
We recommend a lightweight road or hybrid bike, ideally with wider tires for comfort on coastal roads and island terrain. E-bikes are also available for those who want extra support on the hills.

How challenging is the riding?
The tour includes a mix of rolling hills, coastal climbs, and flatter stretches, with daily distances ranging from 35–58 km (22–36 mi). Van support is very limited on the islands and the riding is suited to intermediate riders.

Where does the tour start and end?
The tour begins in Split and ends in Trogir, both easily accessible by air or train. We provide airport and port transfers to make your arrival and departure seamless.
