Spend nine nights under the spell of the ancient Moors in the timeless countryside of wildflowers, olive trees and ancient whitewashed villages in Andalucia, southern Spain.

Seductive Flamenco, flowered patios, twisting 'old town' alleyways and magnificent cathedrals and palaces highlight our stays along the way. We'll visit the timeless monuments to the Moor's magnificent culture including the breathtaking medieval mosque in Córdoba and the ethereal Alhambra Palace in Granada.

Accommodation include boutique hotels, a restored monastery, a palace and a charming family run hotel in a tiny whitewashed Andalusian village. Note: The tour in April takes in Semana Santa (Holy Week) celebrated like no where else in the world.

A dramatic combination of the sacred and profane - Andalucia at its most colorful. May is the traditional Fiesta month in Andalucia so that tour takes in the Fiesta de los Patios in Córdoba where all of the houses in Cordoba's old center vie for the most beautiful patio!

Highlights

  • Cycle the legendary route of Washington Irving, tracing the Guadalquivir River through the storied Moorish towns of Al-Andalus.

  • Savor Spain’s world-renowned tapas, from rustic Andalusian classics to inventive modern bites, each meal a celebration of flavor and tradition.

  • Wander the spellbinding streets of Córdoba, then step into the Mezquita, where a forest of columns creates an atmosphere of otherworldly beauty.

  • Experience the soul of Andalusia at an authentic peña flamenca, where raw passion, rhythm, and color ignite the night.

  • Tour one of Spain’s most prestigious olive oil mills, where production still honors ancient methods and every bottle is crafted with precision and pride.

Enjoy a relaxed tapas lunch in the sunlit town square or unwind by the pool at our luxurious 16th-century palace hotel. In the afternoon, we’ll fit bikes and ease into the rhythm of the tour. In the evening, we’ll gather over champagne and a festive welcome dinner.

DAY 2 – Carmona to Palma del Río

Cycle through the golden heart of Andalusia along quiet roads flanked by olive groves, wheat fields, and spring wildflowers. The ride brings us to the charming town of Palma del Río, where we’ll stay in a beautifully restored 14th-century monastery once visited by Fray Junípero Serra (the Apostle of California!). Tonight’s dinner is in the grand refectory, where the atmosphere is as rich as the cuisine.
