What about the bikes?

As bike riders ourselves, we know that a great bike doesn't make a trip - but it certainly helps! With that in mind, CTTC has sourced its bike fleet from Tour winning blue bloods BH, and they know what they are doing - they have been at it since 1909 - making some of the fastest rides out there.

While some claim to have the best bikes in the business, we can honestly claim to have the best AND the lightest! And we don't mean that lightly! At 9.6 kgs / 21 lbs our BH bikes really are the quickest off the mark and up the hills. Carbon forks and featherweight aluminum frames usually come at a steep price, but they are included at no extra cost for the duration of your trip. You can choose from 4 frame sizes in two configurations: road or race.

Time and time again, people are amazed at the bikes we give them on day one, and how easy it is to climb those hills or simply coast along the shore. Our goal was an all-round bike that handles well, eats up the hills and yet has the stability to give confidence to the less experient rider – and we’re pretty sure we’ve got that!

Hybrid & Trekking
If you are more accustomed to Mountain, Hybrid or Trekking, then these are the bikes for you. With wider tires and a more upright position, you can comfortably handle the high roads and the low roads. Available in 5 sizes in step-thru ladies & men’s frames, these bikes are top of the line with light aluminum frames, crisp, 24 – speed Shimano shifting and ergonomic, dual density saddles. For an unbeatably smooth ride, they all feature front shocks and suspension seat-post.

High Standards on your bike
Whatever bike you choose, it will com equipped standard with: dual density gel seat or race saddle; CTTC water bottle and holder; ultra-light rear carrier with CTTC Travel-Box featuring lock, patch kit, tire levers, bell & pump. We can optionally add at no extra cost a fully adjustable side mirror.

Professionally tuned by CTTC
All our bikes are totally overhauled after each trip – from brake pads and cables to tire wear and chain tension. We make sure that the bike you receive on day one is as ready as you are to go the distance.
